Police propose fence to curb illegal dumping; road crew reports tire backlog

At the Dec. 10 meeting the Town of Beaverdam police chief reported on November calls for service and presented a fencing quote from Heiar Fencing to install a fence and gate at Town Hall aimed at stopping illegal dumping. Chief Eric Feucht also said a squad car should be ready this month.
Les Oestreich, representing Road Maintenance, provided operational figures for recent disposals: 58 loads of yard waste, 8 loads of leaves, 6 loads of wood chips and 4 loads of brush delivered to Propst. He said 160 tires are currently stored at Town Hall and will need to be disposed of in 2025. He additionally reported that BCE will take the town’s old road signs and fire numbers.
No formal vote was recorded on the fencing quote or tire disposal at the meeting; the items were presented as department updates and matters for future action or budgeting.
