Yarmouth Community Housing Committee elects Greg Wheeler vice chair; John Barr nominated chair

At its May 11 meeting the Community Housing Committee unanimously approved Greg Wheeler as vice chair and nominated John Barr as chair (John Barr abstained on his own nomination). The committee also appointed a recording secretary and set future meeting dates.
The Town of Yarmouth Community Housing Committee voted May 11 to nominate Greg Wheeler as vice chair and to nominate John Barr for chair.
On a motion by Chair John Barr, seconded by Drew Krauss, the Committee nominated Greg Wheeler for Vice Chair. Roll-call vote: Phommala Songkhors, Drew Krauss, Myra Suchenicz, John Barr, Lee Hamilton, Deirdre Gaquin and Greg Wheeler voted YES and the motion passed.
Later, on a motion by Greg Wheeler, seconded by Drew Krauss, the Committee nominated John Barr for Chair. The roll-call vote was six YES and one ABSTAIN (John Barr). The motion passed, and John Barr continues in the chair role.
Mary Waygan, Affordable Housing/CDBG Program Administrator, announced that Jennifer Clifford would serve as the Committee’s recording secretary and draft minutes going forward. The Committee set upcoming regular meeting dates for June 8, July 13, August 10 and September 14, 2026, all at 3:00 PM. The meeting adjourned at 4:14 PM following a unanimous roll-call vote on a motion by Greg Wheeler, seconded by Drew Krauss.
The officer elections were conducted by roll call and recorded in the official minutes.
