Hebron, N.D. — The Hebron Public School Board met Dec. 10, 2025, at the superintendent’s office and unanimously approved a slate of routine and personnel actions, including authorizing purchase of a replacement 36‑passenger route bus, adopting multiple policy amendments and hiring two boys’ basketball coaches.
The meeting opened at 7:30 p.m. with President Dave Kraenzel noting full attendance. After approving the agenda (with an added High School Handbook amendment), minutes and December financial bills, the board heard reports from Superintendent Mr. Schaff and Principal Jenifer Hosman.
Superintendent Mr. Schaff reported that the district’s diesel route bus needs replacement. Board member Jamen Wolf moved to purchase a new 36‑passenger bus from Harlow’s; Jason Krizan seconded and the motion carried unanimously, authorizing staff to proceed with the purchase.
Mr. Schaff also updated the board on extracurricular athletics. He reported recent meetings about co‑oping sports with Richardton‑Taylor and a separate meeting in Glen Ullin concerning the district’s current co‑op arrangement.
On policy, the board voted to amend multiple policies and waive a second reading under policy DBA to expedite adoption. The policies amended included AACA (Section 504/Rehabilitation Act of 1973), BAA (Employing Board Members), BAB (Board Conflict of Interest), FDE (Education of Special Education Students/Students with Disabilities under IDEA), and HCBA (Vendor Conflict of Interest Disclosure). Holly Martinson moved the policy package; Justin Wehri seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Personnel actions approved included hiring Lora Voegele as varsity boys’ basketball coach and Dean Rolle as junior varsity boys’ basketball coach (motion by William McCone; second by Jason Krizan), and approving an open‑enrollment request for a Richardton Public School student to attend Hebron Public Schools for the 2026–2027 school year (motion by William McCone; second by Jason Krizan). The board also approved a High School Handbook amendment (moved by Holly Martinson; seconded by Jamen Wolf), and accepted the semi‑annual Pledge of Securities from Dakota Community Bank and Trust.
All motions recorded in the minutes passed by unanimous vote. With no further business, President Kraenzel adjourned the meeting at 8:58 p.m.
