Hope-Page School Board adopts 2026–27 calendar, gives Business Manager a satisfactory evaluation

At its Jan. 14, 2026 meeting the Hope-Page Public School District 85 School Board voted to adopt Option 1 for the 2026–2027 school calendar and approved a satisfactory evaluation for the district’s Business Manager. Both motions were recorded as carried unanimously with Parkman, Hiam, Kainz, Olstad, Juliuson, Brendemuhl and Larck listed in favor.
The calendar motion was moved by Eric Parkman and seconded by Janee Brendemuhl. The Business Manager evaluation was moved by Cindy Hiam and seconded by Eric Parkman; the minutes record the evaluation result as “satisfactory” but do not name the Business Manager. During communications, Superintendent and Elementary Principal Heidi Kingston updated the board on the district’s 2025 Cognia accreditation visit, and Secondary Principal Jonah Wolla provided a separate update.
The board also noted the upcoming North Dakota School Boards Association convention Feb. 5–6 in Bismarck. The meeting began at 6:00 PM at Hope-Page High School with a Zoom option and adjourned at 6:42 PM.
