City Auditor Casey Eggermont asked that the $80 non‑meter flat rate be removed from the rate sheet; Commissioner Pohlkamp moved to remove the fee, Commissioner Myers seconded and the motion passed by unanimous roll call.
In new business the board approved an A&R liquor license transfer scheduled for Feb. 28 after a motion by Commissioner Evans and a second by Commissioner Myers; the vote was unanimous.
On cemetery maintenance Commissioner Geray said the city will not bid out mowing but will keep duties in-house. He noted mowing equipment (Valley Plains Equip 50 series) would cost roughly $80,000 and that one summer employee would be assigned to mowing duties; Geray moved to pursue a tractor-share with the school district and Commissioner Pohlkamp seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
