The commission accepted a submission to replace existing windows throughout 1305 Hill Street with Renewal by Andersen units featuring black exterior trim and clear glass without muntins. Commissioner Beth Tracey moved to accept the submission as presented; Commissioner Scott MacClintic seconded. The vote was 4–0 in favor (Schwemmer, MacClintic, Tracey and Quandt).
An application for 520 Mapleton proposed adding a covered front entry with a gable roof and converting the existing garage into living space. Commissioners expressed general support for the design concept but said the packet lacked the architectural drawings and construction details the Building Department will require. Commissioner Scott MacClintic moved and Commissioner Beth Tracey seconded to table the application; the motion passed 4–0. The Commission advised the applicant to return with contractor sketches and more detailed construction drawings.
During review of old business, the Commission considered revised materials for a barn proposed at 200 South Main Street. Members indicated general agreement with the barn's concept and overall design but requested further information on the building's overall height and the proposed doors and windows. Commissioner MacClintic moved and Commissioner Crystal Quandt seconded to table the application pending those design details; the motion passed 4–0.
The minutes record that the Commission approved the minutes of the June 8, 2026 special meeting earlier in the agenda by a 4–0 vote.
