Temple Select Board reappoints welfare officials and forester, accepts committee resignation and assigns liaisons

The Temple Select Board took several administrative actions at its March 24 meeting: reappointing welfare leadership, reappointing the town forester, accepting a committee resignation, setting committee liaisons, and approving a small purchase.
George Willard moved to reappoint Marion Gibson as the Welfare Director and Carole Singelais as Deputy Welfare Director to three-year terms; Clayton Lennartz seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Willard also moved to reappoint Allan Oxman as Town Forester for a three-year term; Lennartz seconded and the motion passed.
The board accepted the resignation of TTHC committee member Benotti; Caisse thanked Benotti for her service, Willard expressed regret and Lennartz seconded the motion that was approved unanimously. The board assistant was asked to contact remaining committee members to confirm continued participation and the board invited volunteers to fill vacancies.
The board assigned select board liaisons: Lennartz will serve as the BAC advisor and HDC liaison; Caisse will serve as CIP advisor and Planning Board representative; Willard will continue as SAC advisor and take the recycling committee; Willard and Caisse will be the police board representatives. The board agreed to revisit the safety committee.
Willard moved to purchase four printed copies of the book 'Knowing the Territory'; Lennartz seconded and the purchase was approved to be charged to select board dues and subscriptions. The board approved the March 9, 2026 meeting minutes as amended and adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
