The Duxbury Planning Board voted on July 13 to accept corrected covenants presented by Champion Builders and to sign the mylar for the subdivision record.
Attorney Walter Sullivan and representatives for the applicant told the board the requested changes were scrivener-style corrections and a corporate-name update. The board reviewed the changes, discussed whether the land court has rejected similar documents signed only by the chair in other jurisdictions, and concluded it would be prudent to have a quorum sign the mylar to avoid potential rejection when documents are later submitted for recording.
After a motion to accept the covenants as presented with the discussed corrections, the board recorded a roll-call vote in favor of approval. Staff will collect the original signed mylar and coordinate recording with the town planner and town clerk.
