Ceresco board approves employee insurance change, hires two part-time workers after closed session

Chair Scott Peterson moved and Trustee Ruble seconded adoption of the LIGHT PPO Option 3. The roll-call vote was four in favor (Peterson, Ruble, Johnson, Custer) and one opposed (Burklund); the motion carried.
Later the Board entered executive session at 8:50 p.m. to discuss personnel matters and resumed at 8:58 p.m. Upon resuming, Peterson moved to hire part-time help Gary Schultz and Tysen Taylor; Ruble seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Burklund also successfully moved that all future hires come to the Village Board first; that motion carried unanimously as well.
