Ceresco trustees approve cost-share for water-tower generator, hear multiple water-system concerns

Public-works representative Brian Roland reviewed a multi-point utilities report: scheduled hydrant flushing, reports of low water pressure for some residents, purchase of a generator for the water tower, overflowing cardboard and metal dumpsters, drought conditions and continuation of odd/even day lawn-watering restrictions matched to addresses, Quality Water Report and planned efficiency testing, and a finding that Well #6 is showing signs of plugging and should be pulled for maintenance. Roland also noted the splash pad would be tested and the contractor contacted to address a pipe that leaked when installed.
Later in the meeting the Board approved a lease amendment with NextLink to split the cost of a generator for the water tower; Trustee Ruble moved to approve the NextLink Lease Amendment and Trustee Johnson seconded. The motion carried unanimously. The minutes do not list the dollar amount of the cost share in the meeting record.
Trustees discussed continuing water restrictions and planned maintenance; the Board directed staff to pursue necessary maintenance and warranty repairs and to coordinate contract follow-up with the vendor and attorney as needed.
