Board elects officers, approves 45 organizational appointments and committee rosters

At its regular meeting the USD 443 Board of Education completed officer elections and approved a consolidated slate of organizational appointments and resolutions.

The board nominated and approved officers: Ryan was nominated and accepted election as president; Tracy was confirmed as vice president. The board noted member Kirsten was absent.

Later in the meeting the board considered 45 separate appointment/fee/resolution items (board clerk, deputy clerk, treasurer, deputy treasurer, school attorney, free/reduced meal appeals officer, attendance officer, hearing officer for suspension/expulsion, FOIA officer, compliance officers for ADA and Title VI/VII/IX, E-rate coordinator, multicultural/civil-rights contacts, coordinator duties for homeless and foster children, depository designations, official newspaper, bond counsel, adoption of the 2026–27 calendar, fees, resolutions for destruction of records, home rule resolution, and resolutions to establish petty cash and activity funds). The president read the list and the board voted to approve the consolidated slate by voice vote after one clarification about item 41 (destruction of records).

The board also confirmed committee and board representative assignments (park & rec advisory board, Bright Beginnings, special education representative and alternate, capital outlay committee, and monthly bill reviewers).

The consolidated motion passed by voice vote; the appointments and assignments will be reflected in district records and staff will proceed with related administrative tasks.
