Carlin council approves $316,504.87 payment to Q&D Construction for 2nd Street paving

At the Nov. 22 meeting the Carlin City Council approved a purchase order to Q&D Construction for $316,504.87 as a payment on the 2nd Street Paving Project.
City Manager Madison Aviles said the City previously paid about $131,000 and that total payments to the contractor now total roughly $437,000 against a contract amount she recalled as about $456,600; DOWL issued a notice of substantial and final completion. Councilperson Cameron Kinney noted a $4,000 change order to address two previously unaccounted-for manholes.
Council approved the payment (motion by Councilperson Lyndsie Whigham, second by Councilperson Cameron Kinney; motion passed). Staff will follow up on any retainage and final contract reconciliation with the engineering firm and contractor.
