After back‑and‑forth about payroll, disposal rates and the operational impacts of recently added scales and compactors, commissioners agreed to a partial appropriation and adopted a split of $18,075 for the manager position, $11,500 for disposal fees and $1,500 for utilities — a total of $31,075 — to provide runway toward the end of the year. The motion was made and approved by voice vote.
The chair said the commission would monitor the fund's monthly revenue and revisit additional funding if needed later in the year. The motion included direction for the transfer station manager to provide updated revenue figures to the auditor and commissioners.
