Clerk-Treasurer Janelle Kaiser reported the Town Attorney sent a certified letter on March 12, 2026 to the property owners of N1099 Cole Road concerning a violation of the town’s short-term rental ordinance. The town has not received a response and Kaiser noted the letter appears to have been mailed to an incorrect address. Chair David Huenink said he followed up with the Town Attorney and has not received a response; the board did not record additional enforcement steps at the meeting.
On a separate complaint, the board acknowledged that a complaint from the owner of Lot 29 Prospekt Blvd (parcel 59006077700) about a school bus parked on the lot had been addressed. A certified letter to the property owner on May 18 set correction deadlines and the board recorded that the violations had been corrected as of June 8; the complainant contacted the Clerk-Treasurer to acknowledge corrections and the item will be removed from future agendas.
The minutes also record a previously authorized step to have the Town Attorney send a letter to the property owner of W3070 Hoitink Road informing them the town intends to pursue legal action if no response is received within 30 days; that letter has not yet been sent as of the June 8 meeting.
The board did not take new enforcement votes at this meeting but recorded the status of these items and left them on the ongoing issues list for follow-up.
