Planning staff reported that the comprehensive plan steering committee completed review of the plan chapters and that staff will draft and post chapters for public review one at a time. The staff presenter said the future land-use map will likely be the first item posted and that chapters will be posted throughout the review process.
The presenter said the steering committee may hold a public open house tentatively scheduled for August if a draft is ready, and staff will circulate chapters to the steering committee for comment before making them public. Commissioners asked whether the public review tools will allow online comments; staff said the online posting is expected to include the capability for public responses.
Members requested notice when draft materials are posted and suggested polling commission members about moving regular meeting start times earlier to reduce staff waiting time. No formal action was taken on the comprehensive plan at this meeting.
