Altenburg board approves budget outlook, bills and routine operations; one bill saw two abstentions

Amy Welker moved and Cary Roth seconded approval of the budget outlook and amendments; the board approved that motion 7-0. The board also recorded that all members signed confidentiality statements.
Cary Roth moved and Lindsay Palisch seconded a motion to approve the district's Local Compliance Plan for Special Education services; the motion passed 7-0. Amy Welker moved and Lindsay Palisch seconded a motion to approve the bus routes as presented; the board approved that motion 7-0.
On staffing, Amy Welker moved and Brittany Hecht seconded a motion to add Lindsay Berry to the 2025–2026 substitute list; the motion was approved 7-0.
The board discussed the sidewalk across from the school; Superintendent Debbie Haertling said she will obtain bids to repair it.
