Brundidge council approves one-time retiree payments and two mental-health board appointments

The council also approved Resolution No. 2026-16, adding Mrs. Molly Casey and Mr. Eddie Charles Bailey to the East Central Mental Health Board.
Mrs. Shehane moved adoption of Resolution No. 2026-15 and Mrs. Rodgers seconded the motion. The vote was recorded as yea from Shehane, Hall, Everett, Gaynor, Rodgers and Mayor Boyd; no council member voted nay. Mrs. Hall moved adoption of Resolution No. 2026-16 to confirm the two appointments and Mrs. Rodgers seconded; that motion passed by the same unanimous vote.
Earlier on the agenda the council approved the minutes of its May 19, 2026 meeting; Mrs. Rodgers made the motion and Mrs. Hall seconded. With no further business, Mrs. Rodgers moved to adjourn and Mrs. Hall seconded.
The minutes were subsequently certified by City Clerk Linda Faust, who attested that the original record is on file at 200 North Main Street, Brundidge, Alabama.
