Kenly council endorses House Bill 24 to restore local downzoning authority

Council Member Garrett Stancil moved approval of Resolution #2025-05 expressing the town's support for HB24; Council Member Keith Davis seconded and the motion passed unanimously, 3-0. Town staff said they did not anticipate significant concerns for small municipalities such as Kenly.
The resolution simply records the town’s support for the state bill; no local code changes were enacted at the meeting.
