City Clerk Moore said the event had been rescheduled because of weather and that state law requires an ordinance when a public alley is temporarily closed in conjunction with alcohol service. A commissioner moved approval, a second was recorded and the ordinance was adopted by roll-call vote without further discussion.
Staff said the ordinance enables the event organizer to obtain the necessary state extension for the alley closure and alcohol service; no city funding or additional obligations were reported.
