New Auburn School Board elects Louise Cody president, names committee representatives

The School District of New Auburn Board elected Louise Cody as president and completed the swearing-in of officers at its April 28 regular meeting in the high school library.
Nick Jones moved and Michelle Rayburn seconded to elect Louise Cody president; the motion carried 5-0. The board also elected Nick Jones as vice president (motion by Shannon Berg; seconded by Ben Baalrud), Michelle Rayburn as treasurer (motion by Louise Cody; seconded by Shannon Berg) and Shannon Berg as clerk (motion by Michelle Rayburn; seconded by Nick Jones); each vote was unanimous, 5-0.
President Cody assigned committee representatives after the elections: Shannon Berg will serve as the CESA 10 school board representative with Nick Jones as alternate; Cody will serve as the WASB representative with Michelle Rayburn as alternate; and Shannon Berg will also serve as the ESSA and technology committee representative.
Board members approved the meeting agenda and minutes from the March regular meeting and an April special meeting by unanimous vote. The board recessed to consider routine business including financial items and administrative reports.
The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Monday, May 19, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
