Koshkonong board approves fire/EMS agreement, WISLR ratings, donations and personnel action

The Town of Koshkonong on Sept. 10 approved multiple administrative and operational measures, including a fire/EMS agreement with the City of Fort Atkinson and procurement for road-surface ratings.
Supervisor George Jaeckel moved to approve the fire/EMS agreement from the City of Fort Atkinson; Supervisor Matt Hill seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The board also approved a quote from Ayres to perform WISLR (Wisconsin Information System for Local Roads) ratings for $3,900 after the previously designated contractor, former Public Works Superintendent Dan Butz, withdrew.
Supervisor Matt Hill moved to approve a $250 corporate membership donation to the Rock River Coalition; Supervisor Jaeckel seconded and the motion carried. The board approved bills presented with two corrections: the Rock River Coalition donation was changed to $250 and the Fahrner invoice amount was updated to $35,000. The clerk noted 88 tons of salt were delivered for upcoming maintenance.
The board convened into closed session at 8:53 p.m. under Wisconsin Statutes § 19.85(1)(c) to review an employee job description. They returned to open session at 9:21 p.m. and approved the job description for Supervisor of Public Works. The meeting adjourned at 9:22 p.m.
Other administrative notes from the clerk included planned budget workshops on Oct. 15 and Oct. 22, 2025, and a DS300 voting-machine quote of $6,790 (the county will pay half).
