Public Works Superintendent Dan Butz briefed the Town of Koshkonong Board on maintenance and right‑of‑way concerns on Aug. 13, 2025. Supervisor Jim Brandenburg raised a question about wood left in the Star School Road right‑of‑way and said he will speak with the property owner about cleanup.
During the clerk's report, Clerk Caitlin Kincannon said there has been an uptick in garbage service complaints and that Cowpath Lane's garbage and recycling pickup will move to Tuesdays to allow a different GFL truck to navigate the route; bulk pickup dates will remain on Mondays. The change is driven by hanging wires that limit the truck options available for that route.
In public comment, resident Justin Ulrich (W5153 Bark River Rd) asked whether trucks could be restricted from Hackbarth Road after the project is complete and recommended cleanup of overhanging trees on Bark River Road and Carnes Road. Supervisor Brandenburg said he would follow up with the property owner about the wood in the right‑of‑way.
The board did not adopt an ordinance or restrictive order at the meeting; the discussion produced direction for follow-up rather than formal action.
