The Town Board of Koshkonong voted on several routine financial items at its May 14 meeting, transferring a $28,603 2024 surplus into the capital outlay fund, approving the treasurer’s contract renewal and placing April financial documents on file.
Supervisor Matt Hill moved to transfer the $28,603 surplus to the capital outlay fund; Supervisor Erik Hoffman seconded and the motion carried with the board voting "all in favor." Clerk Caitlin Kincannon explained changes to the proposed treasurer contract, including updated dates and an approved salary raise; Supervisor George Jaeckel moved to approve the contract renewal, seconded by Supervisor Jim Brandenburg, and the motion passed.
Earlier in the meeting Supervisor Erik Hoffman moved to place the April 2025 meeting minutes on file (seconded by Supervisor Matt Hill), and Supervisor George Jaeckel moved to put the April Treasurer’s Report on file (seconded by Supervisor Hoffman); both motions carried. The board also approved bills as presented after a motion by Supervisor Hoffman and a second by Supervisor Hill.
Each of these items was recorded in the meeting minutes as passing without recorded dissent. No dollar amounts or contract terms beyond the surplus amount and an approved salary raise were provided in detail during the meeting minutes; the Clerk indicated that more detailed contract terms are part of the renewal packet.
