President Mark Schall reported the Erosion Control & Greenspace Committee selected GZA to lead the next phase of work. The board approved the recommendation in a recorded vote: President Mark Schall, Trustee Paul Schroeder and Constable Rocco Castellano voted in favor; Trustee Rick Cermak abstained. The motion carried.
The board instructed Constable Castellano to communicate with GZA that the goal is to complete the engineered revetment work this summer; bid documents are due by May 1, 2025, and the work should be completed prior to any landscaping. The approved phase is described in meeting minutes as an engineered hardscape revetment wall; the minutes also note an interim solution for thistles and invasive weeds may be needed until the revetment is finished.
No additional funding sources or contract start dates were specified in the meeting record. The board approved the contract award as a formal motion during the Jan. 13 meeting.
