The presentation explained the agreement’s scope—potential activities include maintenance of wastewater collection or reclaimed water distribution systems, locates and emergency-response cooperation—and said the agreement’s reimbursable work cap is $100,000 per year.
The presenter noted the agreement was first established in 2014, renewed in 2019 and the current update extends the term indefinitely while allowing either party to terminate. Staff also said existing separate agreements cover locates and emergency response and that the updated document revises contact information and the service-request form.
The chair moved and a council member seconded to place the revised LOTT mutual services interlocal agreement on the July 21 city council consent calendar with a recommendation to approve; the committee approved the motion by voice vote. The committee did not take final action to approve the agreement itself; council consideration is scheduled for July 21.
