Board discusses scoreboard failure, entrance concrete and summer maintenance plans

Tom Halter summarized recent scoreboard problems, saying Harvey widened connector prongs after an initial $200 repair but the scoreboard controller failed again; Halter said a new controller would cost about $1,100 and volunteered to meet with Harvey to investigate options. The board did not take a purchasing action at the meeting and tabled further decisions pending Halter’s meeting with the contractor.
Trustees also discussed whether concrete at the main entrance had settled and whether expansion joints or the base require repair; the board asked for quotes and further research and tabled a decision. The board reviewed potential summer projects including crack filling, evaluating gym floor lifespan and the possibility of installing rubber flooring, replacing storage cabinet hardware, and pursuing grants for solar work and a well house.
There was no formal motion on facilities at this meeting; trustees directed staff and a board member to gather cost estimates and report back.
