Moscow Mills planning panel recommends three plats to aldermen; aldermen previously approved lot split and Casey’s final plat

MOSCOW MILLS, Mo. — The City of Moscow Mills Planning and Zoning Commission met June 1 and by unanimous consent recommended three plats and a boundary adjustment to the Board of Aldermen while also approving its May 4 meeting minutes.
The commission, chaired by Christine Shoemaker, approved the previous meeting minutes after a motion moved by committee member Amy Vollmer and seconded by committee member Janice Handing. The meeting was called to order at 6:01 p.m. at the Moscow Mills Lions Club, 35 Friese Industrial Drive.
The commission reported under Old Business that a lot split for 457 West Front Street met lot requirements as presented; the record indicates the second parcel will carry the address 456 West Front Street and that the lot split and final plat were approved (reported as concluded to the commission). The body also recorded that the Board of Aldermen has approved the record final plat for DJ Land, LLC / Casey’s General Store (C-61 Crossing, LLC), noting an added cross-access easement that will be shared between Casey’s and the neighboring plat.
Under New Business the commission considered three items and recommended each to the Board of Aldermen by unanimous consent. Committee member Tom Anderson moved and committee member Greg Mansfield seconded a recommendation to approve the Woodruff Investment boundary adjustment plat. Mayor Lisa Meyer moved and Nicholas Harper seconded the Walnut Ridge final plat recommendation. Committee member Amy Vollmer moved and committee member Tina Hunsel seconded the recommendation for the Steiniger Addition to Chestnut Ridge final plat. The meeting record shows all three recommendations passed by unanimous consent.
No items were raised during open discussion or work session. The commission adjourned at 6:11 p.m. on a motion moved by committee member Greg Mansfield and seconded by committee member Tina Hunsel.
The Board of Aldermen will consider the commission’s recommendations at a subsequent meeting; the minutes and the reported aldermanic approvals are part of the commission’s official record.
