The Lancaster Community School District Board of Education approved an updated district safety plan and accepted routine financial items at its regular meeting on Sept. 11, 2024.
President Mike Steffel called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and District Administrator Wagner gave the statement of proper notice. Attendance was recorded as Nate Gallagher, Tanya Moore, Sara Mumm, Chad Olmstead, Mike Steffel and Jerry Vesperman present; Dean Noethe, Gina Rollins and Andrew Taylor were listed as absent.
The board first moved to adopt the meeting agenda. Committee member Nate Gallagher moved to adopt the agenda and Committee member Tanya Moore seconded; the motion carried by voice vote, recorded as 6-0-0.
Under the consent agenda the board approved the Aug. 14, 2024 regular-month meeting minutes and two financial items: Open accounts payable of $199,996.93 and Paid accounts payable of $627,875.75. Committee member Nate Gallagher moved to approve the consent agenda and Committee member Jerry Vesperman seconded; the consent agenda was approved by roll-call vote, 6-0-0.
On the single listed action item, Committee member Tanya Moore moved to approve an updated district safety plan “with suggestions as noted,” and Committee member Jerry Vesperman seconded. The motion to adopt the updated safety plan carried by roll-call vote, 6-0-0.
There is no substantive discussion of reports or items for future agendas recorded in the minutes. Committee member Nate Gallagher moved and Committee member Tanya Moore seconded to adjourn; the motion carried by voice vote and the meeting adjourned at 7:19 p.m. The minutes were filed as "Respectfully submitted, Dean J. Noethe, Board Clerk."
