At its June 8, 2026 meeting in the Moscow Mills Lions Club, the Board of Aldermen unanimously approved multiple ordinances and resolutions and authorized a water infrastructure improvement tied to the city’s water tower project.
Key actions recorded in the minutes (all votes recorded 4–0 unless otherwise noted):
- Ordinance No. 1161: Accepted and approved a resubdivision plat (lot 6 & part of 7, block 16, original town of Moscow Mills). Motion by Cody Quist; second by Liz Streckfuss; approved.
- Ordinance No. 1166: Approved Steiniger Addition to Chestnut Ridge subdivision following presentation by Lauren Doll of Cochran Engineering. Motion by Cody Quist; second by Amy Vollmer; approved.
- Ordinance No. 1167: Approved Walnut Ridge subdivision after presentation by Lauren Doll. Motion by Amy Vollmer; second by Steve Aston; approved.
- Ordinance No. 1168: Approved Woodruff Investment Boundary Adjustment Plat. Motion by Cody Quist; second by Liz Streckfuss; approved.
- Resolution No. 1164 (Chapter 50): Adopted a storm debris brush and tree limb cleanup policy. Motion by Amy Vollmer; second by Liz Streckfuss; approved.
- Resolution No. 1165: Adopted a resolution affirming the city’s commitment to public safety and reduction of violent crime (referred to in the minutes as the Blue Shield resolution). Terry Foster provided an explanation before the board voted; motion by Cody Quist; second by Steve Aston; approved.
- Water improvement project: Public Works Supervisor A.J. Hance presented a quote of $18,757.80 for infrastructure improvements supporting the water tower project. Motion by Liz Streckfuss; second by Cody Quist; approved.
- Consent agenda: Included approval of routine minutes, financial and department reports, Planning & Zoning minutes, authorizations for staff (A.J. Hance, Linda Haynes, Terry Foster) and Mayor Meyer to attend the MIRMA conference (July 21–24), and approval for Mayor Meyer to provide dinner at a Lincoln County Mayors Meeting. Motion by Cody Quist; second by Amy Vollmer; approved.
