At the Nov. 8 meeting the Lauderdale Lakes board heard a multi-point update on clubhouse construction and site planning. The elevator at the clubhouse failed inspection again; the contractor indicated they expect to pass the next inspection. Generator issues related to gas pressure are being addressed and a walk-in cooler has been purchased and assembled. Interior finish options, such as a mural and new furnishings, are under evaluation.
Board member Jack McAndrews presented a five-phase parking plan that includes reconfiguring the drive to one-way traffic with angular parking (Phase 1), redoing the existing parking and removing select trees (Phase 2), paving a currently dirt area for additional parking (Phase 3), creating angular parking in front of the community center (Phase 4), and paving the maintenance area as a lower-priority Phase 5. The land-planning committee is evaluating whether to keep or demolish the existing community building.
No formal motions were recorded on these construction and planning updates beyond routine discussion and committee evaluation.
