Marinette — At a special meeting on July 7, 2026, Committee Chairperson Jeff Skorik called the Personnel and License Committee to order and the body unanimously recommended that the Common Council approve a Temporary Class B fermented malt beverage license for the Marinette Moose Lodge for the Logging & Heritage Festival on July 10–11, 2026 at 1600 Bridge St.
The committee voted on a motion moved by Alderperson Keller and seconded by Alderperson Kowalski to recommend approval. The committee record states that “all concurred,” reflecting a unanimous committee recommendation from the four members present: Alderpersons Keller, Kowalski, Skorik and Wolfe. Alderperson Klegin was noted as absent.
The application under consideration was a Temporary Class B fermented malt beverage license for service at the two-day Logging & Heritage Festival hosted by the Marinette Moose Lodge at 1600 Bridge St. The committee’s action was a recommendation to the Common Council; final approval rests with the full council.
The meeting was brief. After taking up the license recommendation, committee members moved to adjourn; Alderperson Kowalski moved to adjourn, Alderperson Wolfe seconded, and the meeting ended at 4:58 p.m. City Clerk Lana Bero certified the minutes.
The next regular Personnel and License Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 4:45 p.m., or immediately following the Board of Public Works meeting, whichever is later, in the Common Council Chambers at Marinette City Hall.
