Council tables Costco fuel-site traffic revision after sewer and drawing concerns

"It's gonna be a 4 by 4 facility, so it'll have 32 pumps in total," Silvestro said.
Council members and residents raised questions about stormwater and sewer conflicts with newly installed curb and gutter, the need for certified traffic-engineering analysis for traffic control changes, and the absence of complete site drawings for the council to inspect. City staff and the project team said permit revisions had undergone third-party review but that the city must review and approve road-related revisions; staff said no pavement work in the right of way had been performed and that the permit revision was still under review.
The council voted to table the traffic-pattern request until its first meeting in August and asked the applicant to provide full drawings and to allow city inspection of the storm/sewer corrections before the matter is reconsidered. The tabling motion passed by recorded voice responses from council members during the meeting; the item will return to the council agenda on Aug. 10.
