Councilman Linden A. Fravel Jr., reporting as Planning Commission chair, presented two subdivision items the commission recommended for approval. The first formalized an existing practical subdivision of Lot 40 on Main Street into two legal parcels, conditional on preserving a right-of-way for access. The second concerned a six-acre parcel identified as 74A01: the plan calls for single-family dwellings on lots no smaller than one acre and includes utility easements granted to the town so the town can extend utilities in the future.
Councilman Fravel moved to approve the subdivisions as recommended by the Planning Commission. The motion carried on roll call with Councilman Bowers, Councilman Fravel, Councilman Hollis and Councilwoman Swygert-Smith recorded as voting aye; Councilman Nauman and Councilor Stevens were absent.
Minutes record the commission’s recommendation and the council’s approval; specific plat details and easement language are not printed in the minutes and are expected to appear in the official subdivision records.
