Brandy Tudor sworn in as Sheridan mayor; council updates bank signers and appoints planning-board representative

Brandy Tudor was sworn in as mayor of Sheridan on Dec. 8 during the regular council meeting. Mayor Robert Stump executed the Oath of Office and the council acknowledged the transition.
Councilors next approved administrative changes at Opportunity Bank to reflect the change in mayoral authority: the council directed the bank to change check signers from Robert Stump to Brandy Tudor, and authorized online banking access for Clerk/Treasurer Charise Elser and Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Jennifer Scott. Tamara Todd moved to add Councilor Russ Hamilton to the check signature cards; the motion passed unanimously.
The council also approved Isaac Ingram to serve as the Town of Sheridan’s representative on the Madison County Planning Board. Stump noted Ingram is the first Sheridan resident in many years to apply for the post; Ingram introduced himself and described his community involvement before the council voted to confirm him by unanimous vote.
All administrative and appointment motions on the consent and new-business portions of the agenda passed with no recorded dissent.
