Florence council holds executive session and affirms City Manager’s performance

The Florence City Council entered an executive session at 7:28 p.m. on June 15 to discuss the City Manager’s performance review under C.R.S. §24-6-402(4)(f). Councilor Stiefel moved to enter the executive session, Councilor Stone seconded, and the motion passed 7–0.
Attendees of the executive session were the City Council, the City Attorney Dan Findlay, and the City Manager Lori Cobler. The executive session adjourned at 8:46 p.m. and, after returning to open session, Mayor Steve Wolfe stated the Council is happy with the City Manager’s performance and that another review will be conducted in six months.
Council also noted that City Attorney Dan Findlay will not attend the July 6, 2026 meeting and that, if necessary, the Council may enter a separate attorney–client executive session under C.R.S. §24-6-402(4)(b) to receive legal advice on agenda items with Council approval.
