At the close of its Dec. 16 meeting the City of Monroe Common Council voted to convene in closed session under Wisconsin Statute §19.85(1)(e) to deliberate or negotiate the purchasing of public property, investing public funds, and other specified public business when competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session. The closed session was requested to discuss negotiations for potential developer agreements and TIF financing for future development.
The clerk conducted a roll call before the council entered closed session. No public comment was recorded on the item prior to the council's vote to go into closed session. The council indicated it would adjourn by moving into closed session and handle any further actions there.
