The North Beach Town Council elected Mickey Hummel as council vice president on Feb. 12, 2026. Committee member S5 nominated Hummel; Councilwoman Healy seconded the nomination, and the council approved the appointment by voice vote. The acting chair then turned control of the meeting over to the newly elected vice president, who began presiding immediately.
The vote was held during routine business after approval of minutes and other housekeeping items. No formal roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript; the chair announced the motion carried by voice vote. The nomination and immediate turnover followed a brief procedural motion earlier to have Greg Dodson administer the meeting because of technical difficulties with Zoom.
The council did not record any conditions or amendments attached to Hummel’s election. The meeting proceeded with regular business after the handover. The session adjourned later the same evening.
