The Clifton Town Council approved two Planning Commission recommendations on Jan. 2: a use permit for Trummer's on Main and a final use permit for an addition at 12638 School Street. Councilmember Wayne Nickum moved to approve the Planning Commission's recommendations; Councilmember Darrell Poe seconded and the motions passed by poll votes, 6-0.
Royce Jarrendt of the Architectural Review Board reported that the ARB had issued a Certificate of Appropriateness to Trummer's on Main for a retaining wall and said the ARB continues work on town signage violations, with letters regarding potential violations expected to be mailed that month. The Planning Commission also recommended that the council notify the owner and tenant at 12722 Chestnut Street about a zoning violation related to construction of a carport without required approvals; Kathy Kalinowski and Royce Jarrendt were assigned to draft that notification letter.
