Council schedules Streetscape Phase II public information meeting ahead of regular session

The Clifton Town Council agreed at its May 8 meeting to hold a Public Information Meeting on Streetscape Phase II beginning at 7:00 p.m., preceding the regular council session. Councilmember Regan McDonald told the council the meeting should allot 30 minutes for the public to view exhibit boards followed by a presentation and question-and-answer session.
Councilmember McDonald moved to set the meeting time and sequence to accommodate the information session; Councilmember Wayne Nickum seconded and the motion passed by poll vote, 4-0. The council also approved a $1,085.60 payment to J2 Engineering and noted Streetscape Phase II activity in the CIF report.
The information meeting is intended to update residents on project progress and current design concepts; council members discussed starting earlier than the usual 7:30 p.m. start time to allow public review before business items.
