The Clifton Town Council voted to replace the damaged lights near the caboose in the Railroad Siding parking lot, approving a purchase of two Sternberg fixtures (the 'Option 2' proposal) by roll-call vote.
Councilmember Melissa Milne had reviewed lighting options and circulated product information and two turnkey options by email before the meeting. Milne described the chosen Sternberg Glenview series as a decorative downlight with downward-cast optics intended to reduce light pollution, and noted a separate optional package that would add solar bollard lighting for the gravel parking area. Milne said the solar bollards require no trenching or wiring and provided vendor specifications and pricing in attachments.
Councilmember Wayne Nickum moved to approve two Sternberg 'Option 2' replacement lights; Councilmember Regan McDonald seconded. The motion passed by roll-call: Nickum, McDonald, Milne, Hollaway, Heilmann and Poe all voted aye.
The council did not vote to purchase the expanded Option 1 package that included solar bollards; council documentation shows the Option 2 total of $11,903.78 in the vendor attachment provided by Milne.
