Clifton council approves two commercial use permits for Clifton House suites

Councilmember Melissa Milne moved to accept the Planning Commission’s recommendation to approve a use permit for Coppermine Realty (applicant Jerry Hopkins) for 1,148 net square feet in Suites 107 and 214, to operate 8 a.m.–7 p.m. seven days a week with five on‑site parking spaces; the motion passed by poll vote, 6‑0. Milne then moved to approve a use permit for Wheelhouse Yoga (applicant Alyson Pollard) for 885 net square feet in Suites 200 and 202 with no more than two employees at any one time and allocation of five parking spaces; that motion also passed by poll vote, 6‑0.
The Planning Commission’s written report noted the square‑footage, hours and parking allocations and recommended council approval. The approvals will allow the businesses to operate in the Clifton House commercial suites subject to any county-level permits and inspections required for occupancy and business licensing.
