The ordinance committee was briefed on March 23 that 10 properties remain under nuisance-ordinance action in Glendive. The chair said five of those properties have deceased owners, two have active plans for abatement, and three properties will be sent final letters.
The committee listed the three addresses slated to receive final notices as 217 East Hughes, 412 And A Half South Taylor, and 611 South Sergeant; staff said letters would be drafted and mailed this week. Committee members also reported that Public Works and the sanitarium met with the owner of 112 Glenwood and provided a complete list of items that must be removed as part of abatement work, and that the owner is cooperating with removal efforts.
No formal enforcement action or hearings were reported at the meeting; staff said they would follow up with required letters and monitor completion of abatement plans.
