Mason schools report smooth start, staggered kindergarten transition and assessment gains

At the Mason Consolidated Schools Board of Education meeting on Sept. 3, 2025, the Superintendent’s report highlighted a smooth start to the academic year and praised staff efforts across the district.
Operations Director Courtney Hammond was congratulated by the board on a recent family addition during the Celebrations portion of the report. The Superintendent’s report noted that a staggered kindergarten start provided a calmer transition and additional support for new students and families.
Building principals presented spring assessment results showing areas of growth and topics for continued focus to drive student achievement. The operations team and Deputy Rollins reported they are actively reviewing elementary parent pick‑up and drop‑off procedures and will pursue improvements to enhance safety and traffic flow.
Administrative written reports for September were posted on the district website under the Board of Education tab, and the board noted the next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 1, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.
