Board recognizes staff of the month and National Merit-commended student; student councils give updates

Mason Consolidated Schools’ board opened its Nov. 13 meeting with recognitions and student reports.
Leski Wittman Insurance Agency-sponsored Staff Members of the Month were announced: Shawna Lucarelli, high school mathematics teacher, was recognized for September; Todd Hodge, CTE Construction Trades teacher, was recognized for October. The board also honored senior Zhuoran Cai for being named a Commended Student in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program; Cai received a BCSN Spotlight Scholar $1,000 scholarship and will be featured on BCSN Dec. 14–Jan. 4.
High school student council updates were shared by Molly Sepulveda and middle school activities were reported by Madeline Kolbe. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by CES Student Council Officers Ava DeSloover, Bennett Gordy and Jackson Eurenius.
No public commenters spoke during the public comment period. The board proceeded to routine business after the recognitions and student reports.
