The NICE Community School District Board of Education entered closed session at 6:24 p.m. on May 18 to consider a periodic personnel evaluation of Superintendent Bryan DeAugustine under Section 8(a) of the Michigan Open Meetings Act.
After roughly 20 minutes in closed session, the board returned to open session at 6:44 p.m. and voted on a motion by Jim Gray, supported by Derrick Magnuson, to assign Superintendent Bryan DeAugustine an "Effective" rating. The roll call vote recorded Jim Gray, John Grove, Chad Korpi, Derrick Magnuson and Scott Mann all voting "aye." The motion carried.
The minutes record that the evaluation was considered in closed session and that the board took formal action to assign the rating upon return to open session. No further deliberations or comments were recorded in the open minutes. The board adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
