Landover Hills council approves $250 Visa gift cards for employees

The Landover Hills Town Council voted unanimously on Nov. 17 to increase the employee appreciation gift-card amount to $250 and to issue the awards as Visa gift cards, with the town covering transaction fees.
Vice Mayor Glenda Johnson moved to increase the amount to $250. Councilmember Julio Murillo also proposed purchasing Visa gift cards and moved that the $250 amount be issued as Visa cards; Councilman Todd Over seconded the motion. All members present voted in favor.
The council recorded no opposition. Town Manager Rommel Pazmino and council members discussed covering transaction fees so employees receive the full $250 value. The council did not specify a distribution date in the meeting minutes.
