Town Manager Rommel Pazmino updated the council on several administrative items at the Nov. 3 workshop, including an IT transition, vehicle repairs, interjurisdictional coordination and meeting schedule changes.
Pazmino said Now Technologies Inc. (NTI) will begin an email migration in about a week; the rollout will occur in three phases with staff training and a council session. Office hardware has been ordered and the new email application will be installed after the hardware arrives. Pazmino also reported that the code enforcement vehicle was repaired for an oil leak and other mechanical noises; the council discussed budgeting for a replacement vehicle in the next fiscal year.
Pazmino noted he has been in contact with the Town Manager of Cheverly about a possible meeting to discuss the Street Sweeping Program. He reported completed submissions for the Highway User Revenue report, the Speed Camera report and the Street Extension report, and said the updated paperwork for "CBG PY49" roadwork has been received (as recorded in the minutes).
The council approved moving its January 19, 2026 meeting to Tuesday, Jan. 20, and its February 16, 2026 meeting to Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, because those dates fall on holidays. The council also reviewed administrative matters related to the Veterans Day ceremony.
Why it matters: the items affect town operations and staff workload, including IT security and continuity, fleet budgeting and intermunicipal coordination on street maintenance. Several items require staff follow-up but no ordinance or budget appropriation was recorded at the meeting.
