Council sets community dates, notes FY2027 budget review and adjourns

At the March 2 Landover Hills Town Council workshop, officials outlined several community events and administrative items for the coming months.
Key dates announced included a Municipal Open House on March 13, 2026 (10 a.m.–noon), a Green Team meeting March 9 at 5 p.m. at Town Hall, an Arts Committee meeting March 18 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, Salsa at the Park on Sept. 18, and Clean-up Day on May 2, 2026, from 8 a.m. to noon. Public Works will obtain pricing options for electronics recycling to support Clean-up Day. Council also noted that the Farmers' Market survey has been distributed and residents are filling it out.
On administrative items, councilmembers said FY2027 budget review will start at the next meeting and the town received the final invoice for snow removal. Mayor Jeffrey Schomisch then entertained a motion to adjourn; Councilmember Mike Walker moved, Councilmember Todd Over seconded, and all voted in favor. The meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
