Chairperson Christa Kark opened the meeting’s Aquifer Development Permit public hearing at 7:06 p.m. and reviewed public‑hearing rules — comments are limited to the Aquifer Development Permit under Town Code Chapter 57 (Aquifer Protection), speakers must state their name and address, and each has a three‑minute limit. Assistant Project Manager Ben Cooke, joining via Zoom, summarized the proposal as excavation and underpinning of the building’s northwest corner, construction of a new concrete truck ramp, installation of two loading docks on the currently vacant half of the warehouse, retaining walls, a reworked fence with a slide gate and paving of a portion of the parking area to support heavy trucks.
No members of the public spoke for or against the aquifer permit during the June 30 hearing, and Chair Kark temporarily closed the hearing, saying the public hearing and project review will resume at the July 28 Planning Board meeting.
The public notice for the hearing, published June 21, 2026, identifies the matter as a New Development Permit pursuant to Chapter 57 of the Town of Fenton Code and lists the project parcel (Tax Map Number 129.05‑4‑4). The board’s June 30 action was procedural: the application package was acknowledged and review postponed pending completion of county review and agency comments.
