Commission on Disability reappoints chair, names clerk and sets fall meeting dates

Rayanne Jacek opened the Commission on Disability meeting on June 13 and led members through routine business, including approval of minutes, a schedule for fall meetings and the commission’s annual reorganization.
The commission approved minutes from the June 8 meeting on a motion to approve; the chair reported the vote as four in favor with one abstention. Members then discussed possible fall dates, settling on a schedule that includes an August 10 meeting and proposed September 14 and October 5 sessions to avoid the Columbus Day holiday. The commission voted to adopt the meeting schedule.
On annual reorganization, members moved to retain the existing leadership for the fiscal year beginning July 1. The commission reappointed Rayanne Jacek as chair. Members also voted to name Karen Wolf as clerk for the coming fiscal year. The group discussed the vice chair position: the body voted to name the "chief" as vice chair for the next year while leaving open the option to seat Peter later if he indicates he wishes to serve.
All procedural motions for meeting dates and officer appointments carried by voice vote as recorded by the chair. The meeting closed following member reports and routine announcements.
The commission will meet next on August 10; members noted a tentative August–October schedule and said the town office will post finalized dates on the town calendar.
